2003-2004 Annual Report
The Senate Committee on Honorary Degrees met two times this academic
year and has a third meeting scheduled for April 13 to consider nominees for the
2005 commencement ceremonies.
2004 Honorary Degree Recipients
The following nominations were approved by the Senate and Board of
Trustees: Frances Allen, John Hope Franklin, Temple Grandin, Lani Guinier,
Freeman Hrabowski, Christine M. Korsgaard, Shirley Ann Jackson, and Robert P.
Moses.
2005 Honorary Degree Recipients
The Committee has approved several nominations that will likely be
forwarded to the Senate for approval in fall 2004.
Future Honorary Degree Nominations
The committee is considering future nominations at this time. The
files are incomplete and additional information has been requested.
