Resolution
Whereas, Chancellor Nancy Cantor has provided superb leadership in campus policy matters; and
Whereas, The Chancellor tirelessly has led the UIUC faculty, students, and staff in effectively fostering increased diversity within the campus community;
Resolved, That the UIUC Senate Executive Committee applauds Chancellor Nancy Cantor's courage and leadership in taking public stands on controversial issues, and that it expresses profound regret for her decision to leave this campus to become Chancellor and President of Syracuse University; and
Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the UIUC Senate, Chancellor Cantor, President Stukel, the University Board of Trustees, and the press.
